Planning Goa for Christmas and New Year
The last week of December is peak season in Goa. Flights from Delhi and hotels cost the most of the whole year, and the best places fill up weeks in advance. Booking six to eight weeks ahead usually gets you better rooms for the same budget.
Many hotels ask for a minimum stay of three or four nights over New Year's Eve, and some add a compulsory gala dinner to the bill. We check this for every hotel and show it in the price upfront, so there are no surprises at check-in.
North Goa is where the big New Year parties and beach clubs are. South Goa is calmer, with midnight mass at old churches and quieter beach dinners, which suits couples and families. If you want a bit of both, stay in the south and go north for one evening.
